A few people have been asking how I color, and although I think my method is pretty simple, I’ve made a quick tutorial on how I color most of the time.

*note: this tutorial uses Vibrance so if you’re using any photoshop less than CS4, you don’t have that.

individually sharpening gif frames can be super annoying, especially if you have a lot of them. while playing around with photoshop, i figured out a way to make an action that does the job for you! i don't know if this will be easy to follow so i recommend learning a little about making actions and gifs in general before trying to accomplish this. but if you're ready to take on the challenge, i hope i could assist you! please like if this helped at all!

so I got some asks about how I made my old Karen icon, and I just ignored the requests because I was really busy

now I’m not :)

so here’s my crappy tutorial!! yay

LET US BEGIN, MY PUPILS!

I got the image from Karen Gillan Fan’s Gallery

DOUBLE TAP THE ‘BACKGROUND’ LAYER AND CLICK ‘OK’

THEN SELECT ‘MAGNETIC LASSO TOOL’

YOU CAN JUST CLICK AND DRAG :)

NOW CREATE A NEW LAYER AND PUT IT UNDER YOUR LITTLE KAREN

OKAY, NOW I EDITED THE COLORED BACKGROUND AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE VIDEO…AND I DON’T HAVE THE PATIENCE TO EXPLAIN IT HERE

THE BLANK LAYER NEEDS TO BE RIGHT ABOVE THE COPY OF THE ORIGINAL IMG:

THEN, WHEN YOU’RE HAPPY WITH IT, PRESS ‘ENTER’

NOW ADD SATURATION, CURVES, ETC.. BUT MAKE SURE ITS ABOVE ALL LAYERS

RESIZE IT (IMAGE>IMAGE SIZE) TO APPROXIMATELY 200PX-WIDTH

SAVE IT AS .PNG

DONEEEEEE, MY BABIES!!!!

Now you’re free to go make your own icons, o great photoshop lovers
